Pre-requisites and Requirements to become a Certified, IKC Registered, Touch for Health Instructor in the USA

Attend and complete Touch for Health 1 – 4 with a certified Touch for Health instructor

Complete and pass the Proficiency Certification.
- The TFH Workbook by Hazel Miller is required. You can order it from your TFH instructor and in it you can record your 20 required balances and fill out the review questions. Submit it to both your TFH and Proficiency instructor.
- Attend a 15 hour Proficiency Skills Workshop; the Proficiency is a review of TFH 1 – 4 theories, techniques and 42 muscle tests. An opportunity to get your questions answered over anything in the TFH curriculum.
- Pass the Proficiency Assessment*. This is a written and practical assessment, consisting of an international standardized 60 question, multiple choice, timed, open-book written exam, and a practical performance of a 42 muscle, one-point balance according to the Wheel/ 5 Elements.
*The Proficiency Assessment is an international requirement and the first level of competency assessment. It is one of the requirements of entrance into the advanced TFH (Advanced) Training Workshop.

Attend the advanced TFH Training Workshop (TW).
This 60 hour training course is oriented to communicating TFH in an educational, self-responsibility model, whether in private sessions, public presentations or in official TFH workshops. The Training Workshop offers training in presentation/ communication skills, curriculum development, techniques review, marketing and other necessary skills to help you to become a successful TFH Instructor.

Complete and pass practical, oral and written assessments during the Training Workshop to receive their certification as an IKC/ TFH Instructor* and be qualified to register with the TFHKA and IKC, and be listed on the websites. (The Advanced Training Workshop is also part of the requirement for the Consultant certification too).
Please note: if you attend a TFH Instructor Training in another country be sure to contact Matthew and Arlene (U.S. Faculty) to sign the U.S. Instructor IKC contract. You will also need to register as a member of the Touch for Health Kinesiology Association (www.touchforhealth.us).
