TFH Instructor Requirements

Touch for Health Professional Instructor requirements

To maintain Registration as a Certified TFH Instructor and CE provider in the U.S. the following requirements MUST BE ADHERED TO:

  1. Maintain a consistent Professional Instructor membership with the Touch for Health Kinesiology Association.
  2. Update/ Continuing education every three years as outlined by the IKC.  Read the Instructor Updating Policy
  3. Have a current Teacher’s Agreement/Contract  on file (every 3 years).
  4.  If you want to Teach online you will need to also have the Instructor Teaching Online Agreement too.
  5. If you want to teach the Mini Workshops (like Kinesiology for Kids), then please sign the Mini Workshop Contract   Please print and sign ALL contracts and return to Arlene Green via email: admin@ikcfaculty.us
  6. Have a current Resume on file (every 3 years) in the TFHKA office. This is needed in order to give CEs to students. Instructors can also send it to Arlene who will forward it to the TFHKA office person.
  7. Submit your class rosters through the online TFHKA roster link within ten (10) business days of the end of the class.  To request CE certificates you must include the student’s license numbers. Information on student CEs.
  8. After you submit your roster to TFHKA, to order your students’ official IKC certificate, go to the ‘Order Certificates’ link on this website and pay for your IKC certificates. (Instructors teaching out of Book 1 & 2  or The Complete Edition will pay a $5.50. registration/certificate fee per student.) Once you receive your certificate codes you will be able to download your student certificates directly from the http://www.ikc.global website and distribute them to your students.
  9. Keep student evaluations in your files, for at least 5 years. The office or faculty may request evaluations be sent in at any time. If teaching online, use the online evaluation form (see Teaching Online link on this website to access it).
  10. Teach all four levels of TFH according to the IKC standardized syllabus as printed in the beginning of each level of Book 1 and 2, or pages XXV-XXVIII of the Complete Edition)
  11. Use only IKC approved Book 1 & 2 and/or the TFH Complete Edition  in your classes. The use of Books 1 and 2 are recommended components to the classroom experience because:   a) They clarify the syllabus for each level, 1, 2, 3 and 4   and  b) They allow the student to focus on ONLY the specific information for each specific level.
  12. Make no claims for curing, healing or diagnosing disease. DO NOT imply the Touch for Health techniques will do so.
  13. Read and agree to the TFH Instructor Code of Ethics.
  14. Instructors who do not fulfill their Instructor Requirements (#1 – 13 above) may have their names removed from the IKC/TFHKA registries and loose their privileges to issue manuals, certificates and CE’s.

*Please note: Instructors wishing to teach outside the U.S. or have students from other countries when teaching online, must contact the Faculty of that country to confirm the current syllabus and manner in which certificates, manuals, workbooks and other resource materials are obtained.

*For Instructors who have taken at least one post Instructor Training Instructor Proficiency Update and taught a minimum of 15 students in their current 3 year cycle, and who choose to use alternative approved options for updating, they can  Pay for their Instructor CE certificate, and then submit the below form Instructor CE information Form for Re-certification
