TFH Proficiency Instructor/Assessor Appointment Criteria:
The IKC TFH Faculty in the USA are looking for Instructors to grow into the role of Proficiency Instructors and Proficiency Assessors for students who have completed TFH 1-4.
Minimum Criteria:
• Experienced teaching the TFH Synthesis (TFH 1-4)
Teaching Level 1-4 multiple times (4+)
(25+) students completing level 4
• Maintains IKC Registration up to date, and membership with the TFHKA
• Has attended at least two Proficiency Skills/ Update classes
• Has completed the TFH 1-4 Workbook (Proficiency requirement as of 2019)
• Has guided students through completion and review of the workbook
• Apply to become an IKC TFH Proficiency Assessor/Instructor.
Prospective applicants are assessed through convening and co-teaching with Faculty a Proficiency in their area, along with other considerations below.
Additional Criteria:
Mentorship/support of students who continue to Proficiency, TW, Consultant Certification.
– Mentorship/support of fellow instructors
Co-organizing/co-teaching TFH 1 – 4 Workshops
Coaching/counseling newer instructors
Other forms of encouraging students and instructors
Consultant Certification (helpful but not required)
Demonstration of familiarity of the IKC Faculty, TFHKA, and Instructor/Consultant roles in the USA.
Examples: – Taking an active, relevant role in TFHKA board or committees
- Attending and/or assisting at TFHKA Conferences and Annual Membership Meeting
- Other forms of cooperation with Faculty, Board Members, other Instructors
– Knowledge/Training/Certification in Adult Education and/or Learning Assessment.
– Knowledge/ Training as an Assessor of another Kinesiology or other educational program.
– Repeated attendance of the TFH Training Workshop (ITW) (2+)
